Discontinuing Lessons
• Cancelations of lessons are to be made at this link by the 18th of the month in advance: https://forms.gle/zyvwrV9uHQfPXAYq9.

• Students who discontinue lessons can rejoin at any time, but we can not guarantee availability of the teacher or the same timeslot upon their return.
Studio Calendar
• All students have the opportunity to participate in studio recitals twice per year. This year's recitals are tentatively scheduled for Saturday, December 15, 2024 and Saturday, May 31, 2025.

• Recitals are lessons in performance. Recitals are $27 per student, and awards are given at the Spring Recital. Students who participate in their first recital receive a medal. Every recital afterwards, the students will earn a star pin to put on their medal ribbon.

• Community service recitals may be available.

• The Classical Artist Development Program is open to any student, and is guaranteed to give students a diverse musical background with experience in the major musical genres. In addition the program provides a strong foundation in theory, sightreading, scales, and ear-training. Students use the AIM workbooks from the ISMA to prepare. As students progress through the program past level 5, we recommend that they are taking weekly lessons of at least 45 minute to allow adequate time to cover the broad scope of material covered by the higher levels. Students in levels 9 and above should take 60 minute weekly lessons. The CADP is scheduled on the first Sunday in May. Visit https://lewismusicstudio.net/classical-artist-development-program/ for more details.

• Group rates will be available to community music events!

Recommended practice goals:

• Students in Level 1: 30 minutes daily
• Students in Levels 2&3: 40 minutes daily

• Students are required to have an instrument at home for practice. See the page for the specific instrument or talk to your teacher for details about the requirements for a student instrument.
Environment

• The teacher should be advised of any learning disabilities or other special physical or emotional needs of the student or family.
