Intro to Guitar (Ages 6-9) is fun way to get your feet wet in the world of guitar for elementary students!  Classes will use the Hal Leonard Guitar Method.  Students will have fun learning fretboard geography, basic hand positioning, playing some tunes, and more! Classes meet at our studio for 30 minutes once a week. Tuition is $80 for a four-week month.

Intro to Ukulele (Ages 6-9) is fun way to get your feet wet in the world of ukulele for elementary students!  Classes will use the Hal Leonard Ukulele Method.  Students will have fun learning fretboard geography, basic hand positioning, playing some tunes, and more! Classes meet at our studio for 30 minutes once a week. Tuition is $80 for a four-week month.

Intro to Guitar (Adults)- Have you always wanted to try your hand at guitar playing? Or did you play years ago and would like a refresher?  This class is for you!  Classes will use the Hal Leonard Guitar Method.  Students will have fun learning fretboard geography, basic hand positioning, playing some tunes, and more! Classes meet at our studio for 45 minutes once a week. Tuition is $120 for a four-week month.

Summer is a great time to learn some new music skills and make some new friends too! Most camps are half day, but combine two camps on the same week to create a full day camp experience with an hour between for lunch and outdoor time! • What curriculum do you use?

The curriculum varies from teacher to teacher and student to student, but some favorite methods that we use are Alfred’s, Mel Bay, and Hal Leonard. Students often use supplementary books for classical studies and for jazz or pop music that they wish to learn. All lessons are customized to a student’s needs and interests!

• Can we buy a guitar through Lewis Music Studio?

Absolutely! We have both acoustic and electric instruments as well as child and adult sizes to choose from. All students receive a 10% discount on instruments and accessories purchased in our shop.  Don’t see what you are looking for?  We can order it for you!  You can access our online shop here!

• Are there any other costs associated with lessons?

Tuition prices are posted on our website, and we do not charge any registration fees. Books, recitals, accessories, instrument, and instrument up keep are costs to keep in mind as you plan your music budget!

• Do you have recitals?

Yes! We encourage students to perform as much as possible, and we offer several opportunities to perform throughout the year. Check our upcoming events for details. At our spring recital, we give a medal to new students. Students then receive a pin for each of their performances throughout the year to add to the ribbon of their medal! We encourage students to fill up those ribbons by the time they graduate!

• Do you offer daytime lessons for homeschoolers and adults?

We do! We would be happy to work with you to schedule a lesson time that works best for your schedule! For Homeschoolers we also offer a daytime Intro to Piano and  General Music class!

• Are there any other costs associated with lessons?

• Do you offer evening and weekend classes for students and adults?

We are open weekends, and we would be happy to work with you to schedule a lesson time that works best for your schedule!

• Do you offer audition prep?

Let us help you prepare for your big audition! Be sure to bring all of your requirements with you to lessons, and our teachers will customize lessons to prepare for that big day!

• How long am I committed to lessons?

Tuition is due for the month in advance. While we highly recommend that you stick with lessons long term, commitment is just on a monthly basis.

• Can I pay online?

For your convenience, tuition will be charged through ACH for the month in advance.
